La l\u00ednea naviera proyecta ahora un EBITDA de entre 8.000 y 9.500 millones de d\u00f3lares, frente a la estimaci\u00f3n previa de 6.000 a 9.000 millones. El EBIT se ubicar\u00eda entre 2.000 y 3.500 millones, superando el rango anterior de 0 a 3.000 millones. La mejora responde, en parte, a un ajuste en las proyecciones de crecimiento del mercado global, que pasaron de un rango de -1% a 4% a un rango de 2% a 4%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por otro lado, la l\u00ednea naviera espera que la interrupci\u00f3n del tr\u00e1nsito en el Mar Rojo se prolongue durante todo 2025. En la proyecci\u00f3n anterior consideraba que la reapertura parcial podr\u00eda darse a mediados de a\u00f1o; ahora anticipa que ser\u00e1 hacia el cierre de 2025, seg\u00fan indic\u00f3 en sus resultados, lo que en parte explicar\u00eda la mejora en las expectativas, considerando el efecto impulsor de las tarifas que implica el bloqueo de esta v\u00eda a la navegaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-post-featured-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"798\" height=\"597\" src=\"https:\/\/jpevlogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/alzas-rate.jpeg\" class=\"attachment-post-thumbnail size-post-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" style=\"object-fit:cover;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jpevlogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/alzas-rate.jpeg 798w, https:\/\/jpevlogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/alzas-rate-300x224.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/jpevlogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/alzas-rate-768x575.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/jpevlogistics.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/alzas-rate-16x12.jpeg 16w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 798px) 100vw, 798px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>Entonces \u00bfmejora el panorama en general para las l\u00edneas navieras? No, por cierto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si bien, la demanda global de transporte mar\u00edtimo de contenedores registr\u00f3 un crecimiento de 2,6% en junio, de acuerdo con los \u00faltimos datos publicados de Container Trade Statistics (CTS), las exportaciones desde Norteam\u00e9rica y Europa presentaron descensos interanuales y a\u00fan queda por ver los resultados que arroje julio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En cuanto a expectativas para lo que viene, CTS anticip\u00f3 que si bien el desempe\u00f1o de junio demuestra la resiliencia del mercado, \u201cnuevas rondas de aranceles podr\u00edan poner a prueba el impulso a partir del segundo semestre\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Y bueno, el momento de la prueba ha llegado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Escalada arancelaria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El 7 de agosto entraron en vigor los aranceles rec\u00edprocos impulsados por el Presidente de EE. UU., Donald Trump, afectando a socios comerciales clave como Corea del Sur, Jap\u00f3n, la Uni\u00f3n Europea, el Reino Unido, Vietnam, Filipinas e Indonesia, con tasas que van del 10% al 20%, un caso aparte fue el de Brasil, a cuyos bienes se impuso un arancel del 50%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) estim\u00f3 que la aplicaci\u00f3n de estas medidas reducir\u00e1 el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico mundial en 0,2 puntos porcentuales este a\u00f1o. Esto, m\u00e1s el fin de la tregua arancelaria entre EE. UU. y China, previsto para el 11 de agosto, y la posibilidad de nuevos grav\u00e1menes a sectores espec\u00edficos como semiconductores y farmac\u00e9uticos, aumentan la incertidumbre. En todo caso, Trump se\u00f1al\u00f3 a CNBC que \u201cestamos muy cerca de un acuerdo con China y podr\u00edamos tener una cumbre con el presidente Xi Jinping este a\u00f1o\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En paralelo, La Oficina del Representante Comercial de EE. UU. (USTR) fij\u00f3 aranceles para buques de origen u operaci\u00f3n vinculada con China a partir del 14 de octubre. El cobro estar\u00e1 a cargo de la Aduana estadounidense, y el incumplimiento podr\u00eda impedir operaciones portuarias o retrasar salidas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De cumplirse la medida, el analista de la industria mar\u00edtima,&nbsp;<em>Lars Jensen<\/em>, adelanta que se espera que las navieras reorganicen sus flotas en las pr\u00f3ximas semanas para retirar buques de construcci\u00f3n china de las rutas hacia EE. UU. En ese sentido, remarca que \u201cOcean Alliance tendr\u00e1 una desventaja competitiva, ya que Cosco\/OOCL afrontar\u00e1 tarifas m\u00e1s altas en todos sus buques por ser operadores chinos\u201d. Advirti\u00f3 adem\u00e1s que reemplazar estas naves por buques de CMA CGM o Evergreen no es totalmente viable en la pr\u00e1ctica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tarifas spot siguen en baja<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con lo anterior como tel\u00f3n de fondo, las tarifas spot contin\u00faan debilit\u00e1ndose en las principales rutas globales. El&nbsp;<em>World Container Index<\/em>&nbsp;(WCI) de&nbsp;<em>Drewry<\/em>&nbsp;reflej\u00f3 descensos en Asia-Europa y en el Transpac\u00edfico. La ruta China\u2013Costa Este de EE. UU. (USEC) cay\u00f3 7% semanal, descendiendo bajo los US$4.000\/FEU por primera vez desde mayo. Hacia la Costa Oeste (USWC), las tarifas est\u00e1n en su nivel m\u00e1s bajo desde fines de 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Datos de&nbsp;<em>Xeneta&nbsp;<\/em>muestran que las tarifas desde el Lejano Oriente a la USWC se ubican en US$2.098\/FEU, mientras que hacia la USEC alcanzan los US$3.311\/FEU. En t\u00e9rminos interanuales, las tarifas en la ruta Transpac\u00edfico han sufrido descensos pronunciados: -62% hacia la USWC desde junio y -53% hacia la USEC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El analista jefe de&nbsp;<em>Xeneta<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Peter Sand<\/em>, destac\u00f3 que las l\u00edneas navieras han intentado frenar la ca\u00edda mediante una gesti\u00f3n m\u00e1s estricta de la capacidad, duplicando el n\u00famero de cancelaciones de itinerarios (<em>blank sailings<\/em>) desde mediados de junio. \u201cLa dr\u00e1stica ca\u00edda de tarifas spot se ha desacelerado en agosto, lo que muestra cierto \u00e9xito, pero no suficiente para detener la tendencia bajista\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con una flota global en una situaci\u00f3n de sobrecapacidad y proyecciones de demanda moderadas, el desaf\u00edo para las l\u00edneas navieras sigue siendo sostener las tarifas.
